About the Event

During this event, 4 passionate speakers, working in Switzerland (responsAbility Investment, IGravity, J. Safra Sarasin, MSCI Climate Risk Center & Impactexchange), will be sharing their experience, motivation and insights to pursue a impact-focused career in the world of sustainable finance. 

Gaudenz Biveroni is the founder of Impactexchange, a curated platform for impact-driven professionals and organisations engaging for positive change. Having questioned traditional career paths early on, he ventured into entrepreneurship to link ambitious talents with opportunities to make a difference. To pursue this cause, he served as a recruiter for impactful companies, mentor to driven professionals and initiator of online platforms. While engaging for a broad spectrum of Impact Topics, Sustainable Investing was always among the core topics. Gaudenz holds a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen.

Dr. Oliver Marchand is the Managing Director, Global Head of ESG Research & Models at the MSCI Climate Risk Center and is responsible for all research activities in the field of climate risks analysis. The Zurich-based MSCI Climate Risk Center creates an extensive climate risk assessment and reporting offering for the institutional market, providing global investors with solutions to help them better understand the impact of climate change on their investment portfolios and comply with mandatory and voluntary climate risk disclosure initiatives and requirements. In 2015, Dr. Oliver Marchand founded the Zurich-based fintech start up Carbon Delta AG and was the CEO until 2019, when the company was acquired by MSCI Barra SA. Dr. Oliver Marchand holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from ETH Zurich. The combined expertise in software development for financial portfolio management and climate data modelling puts him in the unique position to combine two very different industries.

Eugenia Martini Donati is an investment specialist with ten years of experience in the asset management industry. She has joined iGravity as Head of Impact Investment Solutions in 2020. Before that, she worked as an associate director at Alpha Leonis Partners providing financial advisory to foundations and endowments. Eugenia holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Bocconi. 

Mette Emsholm Kjær is an ESG analyst at responsAbility Investments, an asset manager in the field of development investments, offering professionally-managed investment solutions to private, institutional and public investors. Mette hold a Bachelors' degree in Geography and Geoinformatics as well as a Masters' degree in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen. In addition, she holds a Masters label from Climate-KIC, The European Institute of Innovation and Technology, and wrote her thesis with Carbon Delta AG, on the topic of greenhouse gas emissions modelling. She has experience in both the private and public sector, in Denmark and Switzerland, in environmental, social and climate-related area. 

Nico Frey, Sustainable Investment Analyst Director, joined Bank J. Safra Sarasin’s Sustainable Investment Research team in October 2019. Together with his team, he is responsible for the implementation and advancement of the Bank’s sustainable investment methodology and the integration of sustainability considerations along the investment processes of different investment strategies. Prior to joining the Bank, Nico gained relevant experience as Account Director in Corporate Relations for the financial industry at one of the internationally leading environmental NGOs, in the area of Corporate Sustainability at one of the largest retailers in Europe and at the Institute for Economy & the Environment at the University of St. Gallen. He furthermore worked in the field of Public Policy for one of the major Swiss banks and temporary for the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Colombia. Nico Frey holds a Master's degree in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen.
