The Sustainable
Investment Challenge

The Sustainable Investment Club is proud to co‑lead the Sustainable Investment Challenge at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), a hands‑on master’s course where students develop their own financial products that are both profitable and deliver measurable impact. In the 2024 autumn semester, students designed innovative solutions such as a fund to finance solar panels in Ukraine, a derivative supporting sanitation in India, and investments in sustainable cement development. Throughout the course, they received feedback from leading partners including Blue Earth Capital, Julius Baer, and WWF Switzerland. The program culminates in presentations before a jury of academics, practitioners, and SIC members, with the most promising teams encouraged to enter the Kellogg‑Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge.
