Kellog - Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge 2021

Every year, the Kellogg School of Management and Morgan Stanley organize together a pitch competition for master’s students from all over the world, during which students apply core financial principles to tackle global challenges. In other words, students must propose a financial vehicle that seeks positive environmental or social impact, yet competitive financial returns. Students have to submit a two-page prospectus mid-February and the selected teams will be able to present their proposal in front of a jury in April 2021. This challenge is the perfect opportunity for you to apply your knowledge and use your creativity to create a positive impact as well as to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of sustainable finance!

We offer you the opportunity to be supported by HSG Professors and the SIC to create a novel financial instrument to participate to the challenge. A first kick off meeting will be organized beginning of January to introduce you to your team, to the challenge, and to communicate all the necessary information, for your team to get started. At a later stage, you will have the chance to get advice on your financial product from the professors.

• Open to any master’s student (only!)
• Teams of four and diverse students will be formed (master’s, gender)
• Most of the work will be done in January, so please make sure that you have enough time during this month!

Key Dates

• Application deadline: December 28th, 2020
• Team allocation and kick off meeting: first week of January 2021
• Project submission: February 13th, 2021
