About the Event

For our first event on the topic of "Sustainble Investment in Pratice", we are welcoming Thomas Hohne-Sparborth, Senior Sustainability Analyst at Lombard Odier Investment Managers as well as Baptiste Savary, Investment Analyst at Obviam AG, an Impact Investing fund based in Bern, Switzerland. Both speakers will give a presentation that should last between fifteen and twenty minutes and answer the audience’s questions during the Q&A sessions that will follow each presentation. 

Mr. Hohne Sparborth will present the vision of Lomboard Odier Investment Manager regarding sustainability and explain how it translates into investment strategies in practice. He will be discussing the rationales behind the thematic funds that recently launched by the bank: the Climate Transition fund and the Natural Capital fund. On the other hand, Mr. Savary will start with a brief description of Obviam’s core activities and then discuss concrete example of impact investments he conducted in emerging markets. These talks will be preceded by a first part introducing both subjects.

Thomas Hohne-Sparborth is a Senior Sustainability Analyst at Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) and oversees a team of analysts focused on the research around the transition to a Circular, Lean, Inclusive and Clean (CLIC™) economy. He joined LOIM in 2019 as one of the first members of the newly-established Sustainability Investment Research & Strategy team. He leads the thematic research into sustainability challenges, ranging from climate change, to nature-related risks, the circular economy and social inequality.

Baptiste Savary is a Private Debt Investment Analyst at ObviamAG, an Impact Investing fund based in Bern, Switzerland. As part of Obviam’s Debt team, Mr. Savary’s role is to help grow and manage the debt portfolio. This includes screening and assessing new potential deals, drafting investment proposals, and monitoring the existing portfolio.
